Santa Clara County Sustainability Roadmap Could Usher In a New Era of Collaborative Climate Defense In Our Local Community: Learn How and What You Can Do to Create a Powerful Plan.
Breann Boyle will share how the County of Santa Clara is moving into the final phase of developing the Climate Roadmap 2030. Yes, you saw this date correctly. The Office of Sustainability is supercharged to move us into action for 2030 goals. The draft is laser focused on actions to combat climate change, create livable communities, and restore natural spaces – all while ensuring equitable distribution of opportunities and benefits across the region.
At our monthly meeting, Breann Boyle, County Office of Sustainability, will present an overview of the Climate Roadmap, walk us through the key plan objectives, and allow time for your input on actions related to buildings and construction, transportation, water, waste reduction, and agriculture. Your opinions will help to ensure that community sustainability needs are met, while reducing impact on the planet.
Your input matters. In the meeting you’ll learn how to add your opinions to a very easy to use online form. And if you’ve already started or completed the form, this is a time to share your thoughts, ideas and ask questions that will help refine their plan.
